Sing Together

With just a few weeks to go until our Sing Together concert, we are getting very excited for the big day! Thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are able to work with 500 children from across the region in preparation for this amazing concert in Coventry Cathedral on Friday 11th July 2025. We will be performing Romany Wood by David Gaukroger & David Carr -  a superb work written especially for young voices and orchestra. We are delighted to announce that Suzie Purkis will be our narrator who will bring the story to life. The concert will also feature Earth by Hans Zimmer. We are delighted to share this event with Apollo Academy Youth Orchestra.

Our Narrator - Suzie Purkis

Suzie is a singer and performer from Birmingham, now based in London. She enjoys a varied career of singing in operas and choirs, teaching singing and workshop leading.

With a special interest in the performace of new music, Suzie has performed many works by living composers. Singing in a cage in a zoo (on German television), performing in an ice rink during public skating hours and an opera in a swimming pool are a few of the adventures this interest has facilitated.

Suzie is the founding member of Pace New Music - a voice, saxaphone and cello trio that plays new music often written especially for them. She is looking forward to starting a masters course in Experimental Performance at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in September 2025

Coventry Cathedral

Coventry Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in England. We are incredibly lucky to be performing there for our Sing Together Celebration Concert on Friday 11th July 2025

Our project was made possible thanks to #NationalLottery players
